What is Bravo Bearcats?
Bravo Bearcats is an entirely student-led theater organization at the University of Cincinnati dedicated to creating opportunities for students of all backgrounds and majors to take part in the performing arts - on and off the stage. The group was founded as a way to serve the greater university’s diverse and all-encompassing student body. Our goal is to create a community that acts as an evergreen outlet for participants of any level of experience to make their own. Whether you’ve never stepped foot on stage, a seasoned performer, or wanting to try a facet of the production you’ve never done, Bravo Bearcats encourages any and all to participate!
The club began in the fall of 2024, and since has produced annual fall semester plays, and spring semester musicals. Aside from the club’s main performances, members can participate in monthly general body meetings, one-off performances, and community-building events throughout the semester.
How can I get involved?
Within both our main and one-off performances, students have the opportunity to fulfill many essential roles - including but not limited to:
Actor
Director/Assistant Director
Stage Manager
Technical Director
Music Director
Choreographer
Movement Coordinator
Set Crew
Prop Crew
Costume Crew
Any UC Student can get involved by joining our GroupMe to stay up to date on any upcoming performance opportunities! New events and shows are steadily being added to the average Bravo Bearcats semester, which is headlined by a main play or musical. Auditions for the fall play are held toward the beginning of the fall semester, while auditions for the spring musical take place at the very end of the fall semester before winter break.
